文章从先锋作家北村写作历程分阶段研究,探讨了北村始终苦苦思考并追求写作的终极意义和价值立场。作为作家与宗教徒的北村,其作品以“皈依基督”前后为分水岭,北村创作轨迹反映了先锋文学在社会转型和理论探讨下的变化和特征:一是文学(这里侧重指小说)形式问题;二是关于文学信仰与文学终极价值指向的问题;提出良知写作的立场问题,并在后期的创作中贯彻始终,因而理解其作品内涵,也为当今时代人文精神重塑的大背景增添了讨论的话题以及思考的空间。
