In recent years, the output of Soviet Class I and II reinforced concrete pipes (design pressures corresponding to 15 and 10 atmospheres) and concrete and non-pressure reinforced concrete pipes have been increasing. Using these tubes instead of steel tubes and cast iron tubes can solve the problem of under-supplying metals and increase the durability of the tubes. OCT 22000-76 also specifies the use of Class III pressure and low pressure pipes in the water main (design pressures corresponding to 3 and 5 atmospheres). Pressure pipes require about 60 to 80% of this pipe. However, the Soviet Union has not organized large-scale industrial production of such pipes. This need depends on the use of expensive I and II pressure pipes and other external products.
