今天的时代是物质加智慧的时代,人们随着物质生活的不断改善和丰富,精神需求的层次也在不断地提高。绘画和设计,都是人类智慧的产物。作为视觉传达的广告、展示的图形设计,已经不满足于寻常的视觉形象,而要求一种新奇的、鲜明的、符合人们生理、心理需求的图形,以便把信息以最快的速度传达给观众。在瞬间被打动、印入脑海。这就要求设计者具备一种创造图形的能力。因此,在设计教学中,应加强对学生创作构思能力的培养,即创意能力的培养。让学生在寻常的事件中,不断发掘新东西,学会各种表现技巧,去创造“有意味的形式”。意象构思的课题研究,就是旨在提高学生的智慧和创造力。意象构思的“意”,是意义、含意、意味、意趣的意思;“象”,是图象、形状、形象、形态的意思,“‘构思”、就是想。合在一起,就是构想一个有意味的图形。
