Practice has proved that excellent construction quality is an important reason for the longevity of the blast furnace. However, the most important condition for achieving top quality lining construction is that the brick type is correct, while the brick quality is the main means to maintain the correct brick type. From July to October 1980, we conducted quality inspection and assembly of the carbon bricks used in the third generation overhaul of WISCO No.2 BF in Jilin Carbon Factory, and made some comprehension on the processing.
