中国中小城市地方文化英语表达存在着英文名称不一致、语言表达不准确及信息缺失等问题。究其原因是译者对地方文化英语表达的战略意义认识不够、对地方文化的内涵把握不够准确、汉英语文功底不扎实以及对地方文化翻译理论研究不够深入造成的。要提高中小城市对外宣传形象以及地方文化的对外传播效果,必须成立专门组织机构,负责地方文化译介的统一规划与监管;同时吸纳贤人志士,组建地方文化译介的思想库和智囊团;还要建立开放共享语料库,以提供地方文化英语表达的查询或检索服务。
The expression of local culture in small and medium-sized cities in China has such problems as inconsistent English names, inaccurate language expression and lack of information. The reason is that the translator’s understanding of the strategic significance of local cultural English is not enough, the understanding of the connotation of local culture is not accurate enough, the Chinese and English language skills are not solid, and the study of local cultural translation is not deep enough. In order to improve the publicity image of the medium and small cities and the effect of the local culture’s external communication, special organizations must be set up to take charge of the unified planning and supervision of the translation and introduction of local cultures; at the same time, they should absorb the wise men and lords and establish think tanks and think tanks of local cultural translations and referrals To establish an open shared corpus, to provide local cultural English expression query or search service.
