河北省水利水电第二勘测设计研究院系国家甲级勘测设计研究单位。隶属河北省水利厅.下设规划处、设计一处、设计二处、测绘处、地质处、生产技术处(院办)、人事劳动处、计财处、服务中心.建筑分院.以及河北天和监理公司、咨询公司、工程公司、科技公司。持有国家颁发的勘察、测绘、设计、咨询、工程总承包、招标代理、水资源评价、建设项目水资源论证、水土保持方案编制、监理等甲级资质证书.以及各类专业、专项证书13件。目前全院共有教授级高工12人、高级工程师115人,工程师47人。其中河北省有突出贡献中青年专家5人、享受省政府特贴专家3人、省级劳动模范1人、全国“三八”红旃手1人。该院是河北省一家专业齐全。设备先进、技术力量雄厚.集勘测、规划、设计、科研、咨询、施工、监理和工程总承包于一体的全能实体单位。近年来.河北省水利水电第二勘测设计研究院坚持“一业为主.两头延伸,多种经营,全面发展”战略,立足水利产业.发挥专业优势.先后完成了子牙河、漳卫河流域的防洪规划、河北省水资源评价、河北省水资源综合规划、南水北调城市水资源规划等工作;主持了南水北调中线工程河北南段的可研和初步设计。滹沱河堤防、千里堤以及龙门、安各庄等大中型水库和献县、艾新庄等枢纽的除险加固设计.易县五一渠第四级、五级等水电站设计.以及石家庄、迁安市生态防洪等规划设计工作。2000年通过了IS09001认证.2003年获得了IS090012000认证证书。由该院完成的《河北省宏观经济水规划群决策支持系统研究》荣获河北省科技进步一等奖、省长特别奖。实现了河北省水利软科学研究的重大突破。1989年以来连续8次被省委省政府命名为“省级文明单位”1999年、2005年连续被中央精神文明建设指导委员会授予“全国精神文明建设工作先进单位”。2004年被水利部授予“南水北调工程规划设计先进集体”。
