Those who travel to Shanghai will probably never forget the lion in front of HSBC Shanghai Bund. Hong Kong dollars issued by HSBC are also printed on the image of the copper lion, and even the anti-counterfeiting measures will be placed in the lion head watermark patterns. Visible, this lion has become an important symbol of HSBC. Why did HSBC value the pair of copper lions? From the history of them, we should talk about it. In the 1920s, HSBC Shanghai Branch used its two-year profit to demonstrate its strength and built the “HSBC Building” from the Suez Canal to the Far East Bering Strait at the Bund. This is a British Neoclassical Greek-style building, very Western characteristics, elegant, lively, interior decoration is also very luxurious, was already world-famous.
