提出了适合长绒棉生育特点的抗性获得性遗传定向选择技术,并在长绒棉品种抗病性改良实践中,取得良好效果。研究发现,遗传背景简单的品种比遗传背景复杂的品种抗病性改良难度大,紧凑早熟零式分枝类型品种的铃重易于改良,较松散晚熟有限无限混生果枝类型品种的单株结铃易于改良。针对品种特性确定重点丰产性状选择,可显著提高长绒棉丰产性改良效率。
