张承志是少有的知行合一的作家,他的《北方的河》、《金牧场》、《心灵史》等小说或散文,曾引起当代文坛的轰动。他的《心灵史》与史铁生的《我与地坛》被誉为九十年代的“双璧”。张承志“以笔为旗”,向当代的轻狂文人“侏儒”和世俗发起挑战。正像文中所赞美的人和风景,“他们的美质,起源于无双的美景,孕育萌生于自由自在的大自然,……这样的天人和谐,地杰人灵,是造物主千年一施的美意。”这才是张承志所追随、追求的境地。
Zhang Chengzhi is a rare writer of knowledge and action. His novels or essays such as The River in the North, Golden Meadow, and Spiritual History have caused a stir in contemporary literary circles. His “History of the Soul” and Shi Tiesheng’s “I and the Altar” were hailed as “Double Skulls” in the 1990s. Zhang Chengzhi’s “Taking a Pen as a Flag” challenges the contemporary frivolous literati “dwarf” and secularism. Just like the people and landscapes that were praised in the text, “Their beauty is originated from the beauty of unparalleled nature and nurtured the nature that originated from freedom.... This kind of harmony between the heavens and the mankind, and outstanding people, is the creator of the Creator. This is the situation that Zhang Chengzhi followed and pursued.
