The effect of the interface on the flexural strength of the composites was also discussed. As a result, it was found that there is an amorphous silicon layer at the interface between the silicon carbide and the aluminum substrate after the oxidation treatment, and the aluminum concentration gradient is formed in the amorphous layer due to the diffusion of aluminum. The original state of silicon carbide and aluminum interface is no such amorphous layer.
