为纪念莎士比亚逝世四百周年,上海戏剧学院用中国故事与京剧形态来演绎莎士比亚《驯悍记》,其人物造型设计的中国化创新值得思考。主要体现在:其一,尊重京剧人物造型的传统“程式”范式;其二,反对妄议程式之“旧”的说法,而是要充分把不断发生的新元素与莎士比亚式的思考融进程式里,借鉴莎士比亚戏剧常用艺术的手法,来强调人物情感与生活的有机表达,使人物造型真正地为角色的情感呈现服务,为故事的演绎推进服务。此剧的人物造型设计既尊重传统又借鉴莎剧戏剧手法来激活传统,目的在于让人物造型淡化地域及时空,而追求角色的塑造。莎士比亚剧目《驯悍记》的人物造型中国化实践,使莎士比亚笔下的人物更加富有鲜活个性,是一次跨文化的艺术实践。
To commemorate the four hundredth anniversary of the death of Shakespeare, Shanghai Theater Academy interprets Shakespeare’s “Taming of the Fierce” with Chinese stories and Peking Opera forms. The innovation of Chinese character design is worth considering. Mainly reflected in: First, respect for the Peking opera character modeling tradition “program ” paradigm; second, opposed to the argument of the program “old ” argument, but to fully the constantly emerging new elements and Shakespearean Thinking into the process of integration, drawing on the common Shakespearean art practices, to emphasize the emotional and life of the organic expression of character modeling really for the role of emotional service, to promote the interpretation of the story service. The play’s character design not only respects the tradition but also draws on Shakespearean dramas to activate the tradition. The aim is to make the characters shape the desalination of the region and the space-time, and pursue the shaping of the characters. The Shakespearean characters “Taming the Titans” modeling Chinese practice, the character of Shakespeare’s more vivid personality, is an intercultural art practice.
