The subtitle of this essay is “Revisiting Japan’s Economic Plan,” as the name implies, and there have been discussions on this issue. The previous discussions at least solve or help to solve some of the major problems of understanding as follows: (1) Plans are not “patent” of socialism, and capitalist countries also have; (2) Plans and markets are not mutually exclusive and irreconcilable.
