近年来的技术发展即将给我们的学校 和大学带来一场革新。通过利用当代信息技术,即使年龄很小的学生也能有机会使用工具和数据资源,而这些在不远的过去还只是少数大学研究生的特权。本文主要讨论“社会科学实验室”这一概念——即一种教学环境,使学生得以通过接触具体研究材料而实习社会科学家的角色。文章还描述了几个正在进行当中的项目以及未来的发展计划,包括以关于欧洲的比较数据为基础的四个“实验室”的大致设想。
The technological developments in recent years are about to bring a revolution to our schools and universities. Through the use of contemporary information technology, even younger students have access to tools and data resources, which in the not too distant past have been the prerogatives of only a handful of university graduates. This article focuses on the concept of “social science labs” - a teaching environment that enables students to practice the role of social scientist by engaging with specific research materials. The article also describes several ongoing projects and future plans for development, including the general idea of four “laboratories” based on comparative data on Europe.
