如果不是获得了今年的中国最高科学奖,可能很多人还不知道“吴文俊”这个名字。其实,早在半个世纪前,吴文俊就已饮誉国际数学界。他在“现代数学女王”——拓朴学方面取得的重大成就,被称为“拓朴学大地震”,将在世界范围内基本上陷入困境的拓扑学研究继续推进。1956年,吴文俊因其在拓扑学上的杰出成就,与华罗庚、钱学森一起获得当时的“最高科技奖”——国家自然科学一等奖,第二年他成为了当时最年轻的中国科学院学部委员(即今天的中科院院士)。
If not won this year’s China’s highest science award, many people may not know the “Wu Wenjun” name. In fact, as early as half a century ago, Wu Wenjun has been renowned international mathematical community. His major accomplishment in “Topology of Modern Mathematics” - Topology, is called the “Topology Earthquake” and continues to push forward the study of topological problems that are basically in a dilemma in the world. In 1956, Wu Wenjun won the “highest science and technology award” - the first prize of National Natural Science together with Hua Luogeng and Qian Xuesen for his outstanding achievements in topology. In the following year, Wu Wenjun became the youngest member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Today’s Chinese Academy of Sciences).
