Objective: To investigate the relationship between the growth and development of hemoglobin and the growth and development of boys aged 4 ~ 5 years. Methods: Based on the physical examination results of 949 children aged 2 ~ 5 in 5 kindergartens in urban-rural integration area of Suining City, Sichuan Province in March 2008, 257 boys aged 4 ~ 5 years were selected according to their age as 4-year-old boys (N = 114) and 5-year-old boys (n = 143) were divided into mild anemia group (hemoglobin = 90-109) and normal group (hemoglobin = 110-160) according to their hemoglobin values Analysis of height, weight and hemoglobin correlation. Results: There was a positive correlation between height and hemoglobin and body weight and hemoglobin in both groups, but there was no correlation between height, hemoglobin, body weight and hemoglobin in mild anemia group and normal group. CONCLUSIONS: Children with hypohemia (anemia) have significantly lower height and weight than normal children of the same age, while children with mild anemia and normal hemoglobin are not affected by hemoglobin.
