At present, the telecommunications industry in the world is in a period of rapid development. The telecommunications industry in the Asia-Pacific region is ahead of other regions in terms of investment. Its investment scale is unprecedented and its market potential is the highest. By the late 1990s, the total number of telephone installations in the region will double, with 60% of them in mainland China.
