Definition method If the components in the circuit are serially connected one after the other, the circuit is a series circuit; if the components (electric appliances) are connected to one another, they are connected in parallel. Between two points (“first” is the end of the current flowing into the appliance, and “tail” is the end of the current flowing out of the appliance). This circuit is a parallel circuit. 2. Current flow method This is the most common method for identifying serial and parallel circuits.
