本文从江苏电网建设的需要、广东省的经验、调峰电站的形式、规模选择、对环境的影响及评价、热力系统的技术经济比较、国内外燃料油资源和供应分析、建设燃油调峰电站的诸方案设想及对策建议等方面深入分析研究了江苏调峰电站建设的必要性和可行性。苏南地区峰谷差较大,且经济基础好,建议调峰燃油电站优先建在苏南,从燃料油的运输考虑,则放在沿江一带更为合适。经过实地考察和技术经济评价分析,建议先在南京,无锡和苏州地区一期工程各上一座100~200MW的燃气—蒸汽联合循环机组和适当数量的大功率柴油机组,二期工程根据情况再行扩建。
