声波探测技术是隧道岩石力学量测技术中最有希望的物探方法之一。在国外,也是到了六十年代后期,对岩石(岩体)的声波探测技术才广泛研究应用。七十年代初,铁道部科学研究院西南研究所根据铁道部下达的声波探测仪器的研制任务,在地矿部水文地质工程地质技术方法研究队的指导和协作下,制作了 SYC-1A 型声波岩石参数测定仪。随后,与西南交通大学、水电部成都勘测设计院科学研究所协作,研制了 SYT-1型声波岩体探测仪,1980年通过了部级技术鉴定。铁道部科学研究院西南研究所地质研究室在进行仪器研制任务的同时,结合生产实际需要,开展了应用技术方面课题的研究。根据铁道部科学技术委员会(77)科技69号文通知,在青藏铁路察尔汗盐湖开展应用声波法探测岩盐暗洞的试验研究,
Sound wave detection technology is one of the most promising geophysical methods in tunnel rock mechanics.
