本栏目介绍的“两弹一星功勋科学家”丛书，是由河北少年儿童出版社出版的。这是一套讴歌新中国的科技英雄的重点图书。该书为我国原子弹、氢弹和人造卫星的研究、制造做出重大贡献的科学家立传，系统介绍了“两弹一星”事业的艰巨历程。 该丛书收入了中央授予“两弹一星功勋奖章”的于敏、王大珩、王希季、朱光亚、孙家栋、任新民、吴自良、陈芳允、程开甲、彭桓武和追授“两弹一星功勋奖章”的王淦昌、邓稼先、赵九章、姚桐斌、钱骥、钱三强、郭永怀等科技专家的英雄事迹。 本刊组织了对几位院士的分别采访，据谈话内容整理成文，还请本书的几位传主畅谈了自己的感想，这里也一并整理刊出，望与读者共同感受“两弹一星”科学家的精神风貌。
