华人移民泰国历史悠久,尤以潮州人为著。当年,移民泰国的潮州人印证了“凡是有海水的地方,就有华侨的足迹”这一事实。尤其是17世纪到20世纪初,中国广东福建的潮汕人,几乎没有间断地往泰国移民。泰国的华人社会也随着华人的不断涌入而逐步发展起来,作为海外华侨华人社会重要支柱的华人商业也经历了从无到有的艰难过程。广告活动作为商业活动的一部分,是研究当时华商在泰国进出口商贸发展动向的重要资料之一。本文主要以泰国国立图书馆所藏的1925年~1935年泰国华文报刊中所见到的近500例中国商品广告为对象进行探讨,希望能够了解当时华人商业活动的状况以及华人消费的习惯。
Chinese immigrants Thailand has a long history, especially in Chaozhou. That year, the Chaozhou people who immigrated to Thailand confirmed the fact that “there is an overseas Chinese footprint where there is seawater”. Especially from the 17th century to the beginning of the 20th century, the Chaoshan people in Fujian Province, China’s Fujian Province, immigrated to Thailand with little or no interruption. The Chinese community in Thailand has also gradually developed with the continuous influx of Chinese people. Chinese businesses, as an important pillar of the overseas Chinese community, have also experienced a difficult process from scratch. As part of the commercial activities, the advertising campaign is one of the important materials for studying the development of Chinese merchants’ import and export trade in Thailand at that time. This article mainly explores nearly 500 examples of Chinese commercial advertisements seen in the Thai Chinese newspapers from 1925 to 1935 in the National Library of Thailand. It is hoped to understand the status of Chinese business activities and the habits of Chinese consumption.
