由于碳化钛具有很高的硬度、较小的摩擦系数(仅为钢的1/5~1/7),因此,工模具经表面沉积碳化钛后其使用寿命可提高几倍到几十倍。本刊1977年第8期已介绍过真空溅射沉积碳化钛的基本工艺及原理。该工艺的特点是处理温度在600℃以下,因此可适用于整体硬质合金刀具,而且也适用于焊接结构的硬质合金和高速钢刀具。该工艺已于1979年1月通过鉴定,现将此工艺用于手表加工生产上的情况做一简介。
