程抱一先生是法国著名的华裔作家,出版了大量的美学及诗歌作品。在小说领域,程抱一先生也发表了《天一言》和《此情可待》两部长篇小说。本文试图解读这两部小说中的中国民俗文化,展现这两部小说是如何承载作者中法文化交流的使命。作为诗人和美学家的程抱一先生,以小说作为其诗歌和美学评论的补充,试图借助小说来呈现其诗歌和美学评论所无法容纳的中国民俗文化。作者从中国传统文化出发,更加生动地阐述了中国哲学及美学思想,也让更为广泛的法国读者感受中国文化的魅力。
Mr. Cheng Baoyi is a famous Chinese-American writer who published numerous works of aesthetics and poetry. In the field of novels, Mr. Cheng Baoyi also published two novels, “Tianyi Yan” and “Be Determined”. This article attempts to interpret the Chinese folk culture in these two novels and show how these two novels carry the author’s mission of Sino-French cultural exchange. As a poet and esthetician, Cheng Baoyi, a novel supplementing his comments on poetry and aesthetics, attempts to present the Chinese folk culture that his poetry and aesthetic criticism can not accommodate through his novels. Starting from Chinese traditional culture, the author expounds the Chinese philosophy and aesthetics more vividly, and also makes the wider French readers feel the charm of Chinese culture.
