The Metropolitan Group and the Vietnam Investment Development Bank recently signed a memorandum to establish a life insurance joint venture in Vietnam. Present at the ceremony were Vu Huy Hoang, Minister of Trade and Industry of Vietnam and Francisco Sanchez, Vice Minister of Commerce of the United States. The memorandum underscores the determination of Metropolitan Life to open up the Southeast Asian market and continue its investment in Asia.
