根据最新统计报告显示:2003年中国网络游戏市场规模达到13.2亿元,占整个游戏出版市场的90%以上。预计到2007年中国网络游戏用户数将达到4180万,网络游戏市场规模将达到67亿元,我国游戏产业无疑已经进入迅猛发展阶段。但令人不安的是,引进版网络游戏在中国市场所占的比例竟高达90%,完全由内地游戏制作人自己创作的游戏实在是少之又少,网络游戏开发人员与需求严重失调成为阻碍国内游戏产业发展的重要阻力。大力推进国产游戏的自主研发,培养游戏人才成为中国游戏企业迫在眉睫的头等大事。
