笔者不是研究刘海粟的专家,过去即从未与海翁谋过面,也未见过他几件像样的作品。只读过两本不同的传记和几篇毁誉参半的文章,说实话,当时印象中的海翁知名度高而美誉度差。此次应特别感谢纪念刘海粟诞辰110周年活动的组织者,为我们提供了深入了解、全面学习的良机。中国美术馆和炎黄艺术馆两个专题展览,使笔者眼见为实,有了自己的看法。观画思人, 心绪难平,以致今天敢于谈出一点感想。如非要给个题目,可以叫狂者当歌。从收藏、鉴赏的角度,我主要想谈两个问题:一是海翁及作品的特征,二是对海翁争议的看法。
