我们認为中國的數学文化是从黄帝時代開始的,即在公元前2491年左右開始的,这時文字虽还沒有完全形成,可是已經開始对形有了認識。中國原始的文化称做龍山文化或黑陶文化,大概是在公元前2000年,这是新石器時代的晚期。近年來所發現的这个時期的陶器有着各种幾何圖案,1953年在安徽灵壁縣蔣庙村和浙江嘉兴縣双桥的新石器時代遺址,都發現有幾何圖案的陶片,如双桥有方格、米字、椒眼、回字和蓆紋等圖案,稍後,考古学家在安陽發掘出來的殷代的車軸上,就看到画着五边形,九边形的
We believe that the Chinese mathematics culture started from the Yellow Emperor era, that is, around 2491 BC, when the text had not yet been fully formed, but it had already begun to recognize shape. The original Chinese culture was called Longshan Culture or Black Pottery Culture, probably in 2000 BC, which was the late Neolithic Age. The pottery in this period discovered in recent years has a variety of geometric patterns. In 1953, in the Neolithic site of Shuangqiao, Jiangmiao Village, Lingbi County, Zhejiang Province and Jiaxing County, Zhejiang Province, there were geometric patterns of pottery pieces, such as Shuangqiao. Patterns such as squares, rice characters, pepper eyes, characters and patterns were later seen by archaeologists on the axle of the Yin Dynasty excavated in Anyang.
