Example A reinforced concrete two-way slab was designed based on the following known conditions. The two-way board has a rectangular shape, and the three sides are cast in one piece with the beam. The beam width is 25 cm. Freely supported (floating). Long side length = 5.75 m, short side length = 5 m. The top of the slab is 2 cm thick and the bottom is 2 cm thick. The active load on the board is p=300kg·m~2. see picture 1. Solution: First, the calculation of the board diagram. [The three sides of the two-way slab are integrated with the cast-in-place beam. To use the existing table calculations in Table 1, it can be assumed that the three sides are fixed ends of the slab as long as the beam has sufficient rigidity (larger than the stiffness of the slab).
