“功能加忠诚”原则是由诺德在目的论框架下,为了进一步完善该理论提出的补充性原则,并以此对译者进行合理限制,避免译者远离作者,远离作品中的主人公。本文以《简·爱》为素材,对比祝庆英和宋兆霖的译本,并选取简·爱在舅母家、在学校时和与爱人罗切斯特的爱情这三个最能体现主人公性格和个性的场景,从“功能加忠诚”的角度对译文进行解析,来挖掘出谁更接近真实的简·爱,将小说作者的真正意图表达出来。
