Tennessee Williams in the artistic creation strongly demonstrate their personal experience of homosexuality. But before the 1970s, homosexuality was a forbidden zone in drama and was not able to perform in public. In order to avoid the fate of the ban, Williams conceal and disguise the theme of homosexuality. This approach has successfully helped the work to escape censorship and at the same time has created an obstacle for the viewer / reader to understand the work correctly. In fact, most of his works are related to homosexuality. Many of his works even feature homosexuality. His criticism of American society, his vision of an ideal society, and his image as an artist are in fact a tortuous reflection of the theme of homosexuality. Using this as a starting point, we can make the correct interpretation and fair understanding of his work.
