国际粮食、面粉和饲料商务杂志[世界粮食](World Grain)2017年4月登载了Arvin Donley撰写的一文,《风力制粉》(Making Flour with Wind Power)。在此,摘要简介文中有关面粉厂利用风力电能的一些技术经济和环保要点。2014年,位于美国堪萨斯州洪特松(Hudson)的斯坦福特县制粉公司(Stafford County Mills),在它所属的堪萨斯中心面粉厂附近,安装了一台风力涡轮机,继而,建成了北美第一座现场利用风力发电电能的工业化制粉生产设施。
