Nicardipine (YC-93, NC) is a novel dihydroacridine calcium antagonist. Many data demonstrate that NC can dilate blood vessels, lower blood pressure, increase coronary blood flow, and subepicardial myocardial blood flow, and Increased cardiac output. Alps et al. reported that NC can significantly reduce the scope of experimental myocardial infarction in anaesthesia. Toyooka et al. believe that NC expansion of coronary artery does not reduce the experimental myocardial infarction in rabbits.
