现代地质学研究表明,成层分带现象极为普遍,如岩石圈流变学分层性、大陆岩石层热分层结构、地壳水动力学分层性、变质带分层性及地壳内存在岩浆成层侵入现象等等。近6年来,在对辽东辽河群变质变形野外调查和室内详细研究的基础上,本文首次提出辽河群吕梁变质旋回第二变质阶段(M2)的区域变质作用存在垂向变质分层性,即变质带基本顺层产出,且垂向具有多次由中级变质向低级变质的重复递变性。这一现象如其他分层性一样,有其特定的地球动力学意义。
