As a symbol of Halloween’s character, the witch often wore a black, green skin, wearing a top hat, riding a broom before the full moon flew. But witch is not just a Halloween legend, they have a long and turbulent history, we bet you do not know. Although many of the stereotypes about witchcraft come from Western culture, witchcraft has long existed in all parts of the world, including in Asia, Africa and many Native American societies. Before the advent of science, the witch was accused of being the culprit that caused the storms, accidents, sickness, and other bad things. In medieval Europe about 100,000 to 200,000 people were arrested for suspected witchcraft, and about half of them were executed. You know, the accused wizards are not just women, but men and even children.
