英语专业泛读课是否需要使用固定教材?怎样的阅读教学模式更合理?本文作者比较了泛读教材的优劣势,梳理了近年来关于泛读教材改革的不同观点,并对笔者的泛读教学实践进行了反思,由此提出,泛读课应该取消固定教材,由师生自主选择能激发学生的阅读兴趣、培养学生的思辨能力和人文思想的文学作品及报刊杂文作为读物;在阅读教学中,采取以学生为中心的教学模式,以阅读赏析和扩展词汇量为重点,辅以阅读理论和技巧训练。
