The third generation of NATO communications satellites is a new generation of satellites designed to meet its requirements. This paper begins with a description of the design features of a satellite system and its relationship to the special requirements of NATO, and then details the technical characteristics of each subsystem and its individual components. The article also describes the steps of its development, monitoring and acceptance testing, and points out the scope and procedures of the testing work. In addition, the article also describes the test steps before the factory launch launchers and test procedures when running on the track. Finally, the paper also gives the test parameters for the orbital operation of two communications satellites, NATO ⅢA and NATO ⅢB. The initial bidding was conducted internationally, and the bidding panel was also international. The result of the bidding was borne by Ford Aerospace and Communications Corporation and the main sub-contract was borne by NATO member states. NASA Space and Missile Systems Agency (SAMSO / SKI) and its major subcontract contractor, Aerospace, is responsible for project management, launch vehicles and facilities operated by the United States, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and its subcontract contractor McDonnell Douglas Provided by aerospace company
