郭公庄位于北京市丰台区花乡西南端,距丰台火车站约有4公里之远。该村过去是一个已有数百年历史、名不见经传的古老村庄,交通不便比较闭塞,村中人常年过着分散式的小农经济生活,甚至村名过路人都很少有人知晓。北京解放前,据当村老人传说:在数百年前有皇帝的时代,村里有一个姓郭的人在皇宫内当了太监,尊称公公,当时有些人就把这位太监郭公公居住的村子叫作郭公庄。也有人说,这个村庄早年曾是这位郭公公家
