In order to evaluate the dynamics of 3 horizontal wells driven by periodic injection of steam and steam in the Bachaquero 10 heavy oil reservoir in Venezuela, a 3-D thermal modeling study was conducted. In the proposed steam flooding scheme, horizontal wells are used as injection wells and existing (and new) vertical wells as production wells.
