1979年,在邓小平同志“我们要尽快把新型建材厂搞起来,要大批生产”的指示下,国家建材局直接投资在北京西三旗建起了北京新型建筑材料厂(简称北新)。十多年来,北新以石膏板、岩棉、轻钢龙骨为主体的“龙牌”系列产品遍及全国,年销售额突破1亿元。与不少国有大中型企业一样,辉煌的北新进入90年代后也陷入了困境。然而北新很快再次崛起:国有资产不断保值增值,营业额以每年1亿元速度增长,到1995年已突破5亿元大关,职工人均收入增长了5倍
In 1979, under the instruction of Comrade Deng Xiaoping and “We must make new building materials factory as soon as possible and mass production”, State Building Materials Bureau directly invested in building Beijing New Building Material Factory (Beixin) in Xisanqi, Beijing. For more than a decade, “Dragon Brand” series of products mainly made of gypsum board, rock wool and light steel keel are widely distributed all over the country with the annual sales volume exceeding 100 million yuan. Like many state-owned large and medium-sized enterprises, the glorious Beixin entered a dilemma after the 1990s. However, Beixin quickly emerged again: the state-owned assets continued to maintain their value and added value. Their turnover grew at a rate of 100 million yuan a year. By 1995, they had exceeded the mark of 500 million yuan. The per-capita income of workers increased five times.
