艺术设计教育的普及和提高

由于多种历史原因,我国现代艺术设计教育起步是较晚的。20世纪上半叶,在陈之佛、庞薰(、雷圭元、沈福文等人的不懈努力下,以图画手工种和图案为主要内容的我国近代工艺设计教育步腿艰难地缓慢发展,培养出了一批工艺和图案设计与教学的人材,从而为新中国成立后现代艺术设计教育的起步奠定了初步的基础。50年代中期以后,随着中央工艺美术学院的创办和一些省、市的艺术、美术学院陆续开办工艺美术系,我国现代艺术设计教育才真正开始迈出新的步伐。60年代初期,地处江南的无锡轻工业学院创办了轻工业造型美术设计系,这是我国最早成立的冠以“设计”名称的专业学科,这个系在教学中还较早提出了美术设计与教育应该为大众生活需要服务,为社会上义经济建设服务的新观念。尽管如此,60年代中期以前我国的艺术设计教育,就整体而言,还是以传统意义上的工艺美术教育为主,离真正意义上的现代艺术设计教育还有一定的距离。而且当时培养出来的艺术设计人材十分有限,根本无法满足社会经济发展的需要。 Due to a variety of historical reasons, our country’s modern art and design education started relatively late.
