贝尔氏面瘫的病源学,多年来均为讨论课题,一般认为病毒感染乃其病源,但尚缺乏可信服的证据。 Doig(1963—1969)观察了104例面瘫病例,无一例具有头部外伤、胆脂瘤、或腮腺肿瘤等病史。本文作者(1976)将104例的分析结果报告如下:
The etiology of Bell’s facial paralysis has been the subject of discussion for many years. It is generally believed that the virus infection is its source but there is no convincing evidence yet. Doig (1963-1969) observed 104 cases of facial paralysis and none of them had a history of head injury, cholesteatoma, or parotid tumor. The author (1976) reported the results of 104 cases as follows:
