Zhang Gongcheng, Cai Xiyuan, Zhou Zhangbao et al., “Cracking Basin Analysis Principles and Methods - Taking Songliao Basin as an Example” has been published by the Petroleum Industry Press. Chinese Academy of Sciences Professor Wang Hongzhen said the book “is a scientific significance of theoretical significance and value.” Basin geology has always been an important part of continental geological research. Recent studies have recognized that the formation mechanism, filling process and result of the basin are closely related to the continental lithosphere and deeper dynamical evolution history. The geology of the basin and the orogenic belt and the interrelationship between the two are the important fields of current continental dynamics. Basin is the generation and storage of oil and gas place, is an important energy base. Most sedimentary basins belong to rifted basins or experienced rifting. From the perspective of continental geology and energy geology, the large basins that cause the rifting occupy a very important place.
