细胞因子结合表达于细胞膜上的细胞因子受体发挥其生物学功能。在体液中往往可检测到可溶型细胞因子受体。可溶型细胞因子受体与配体结合,可能促进或拮抗其膜型受体所介导的功能,从而参与多种生理功能调节,以及炎症反应、自身免疫病和肿瘤等疾病。可溶型细胞因子受体产生机制主要包括膜型受体胞膜外区蛋白水解酶酶切后的脱落,mRNA水平的差异剪接,囊泡样外体分泌以及糖基磷脂酰基醇锚定分子的剪切等。
