主位结构是实现语篇功能的一个重要手段。本文从主位结构选择这一角度出发,对中美大学生的作文进行分析,探讨两者在主位选择上表现出的差异并分析其原因。对比分析的结果显示,两者在语篇主位及名物化和第一人称代词作主位上存在明显差异。中国大学生的作文中语篇主位及第一人称代词主位的使用高于美国大学生,而名物化主位则显著低于后者。
Thematic structure is an important means to achieve discourse function. This essay analyzes the composition of Chinese and American college students from the perspective of the choice of thematic structure, and discusses the differences between the two in the choice of thematic choices and their causes. The results of comparative analysis show that there is a clear difference between the two in terms of thematic position, nominalization and first person pronouns. Chinese college students’ essay’s use of thematic and first-person pronouns is higher than that of American college students, while the nominalization is lower than the latter.
