由于非均质透明、半透明矿物各主向的折射率、光的传播速度、反射率和吸收系数的不等,两主向间必然产生光程差或位相差;且因两主向的透射率与透射振幅不等,必然使透过非均质矿物薄片的合成椭圆偏光长轴或直线偏光的振动方向,自入射直线偏光的方向旋转一个角度,这一角度叫非均质透射视旋转角(r’a)或旋转角(γ’αβ)。作者验证并测量了γ’α或r’αβ,以及主向透射率(T),非均质透射椭圆度(θτα),非均质透射旋转色散符号(Dr’α),非均质透射光符(Ts)等五种透射光学性质及其参数。
