城乡冲突是中国城乡关系中不容忽视的一个问题。现代传媒作为拟态环境的建构者,其对城乡冲突的报道不仅直接影响受众对城乡现实状况的认知,而且会影响到城乡关系的发展。定位于“在这里,读懂中国”的《南方周末》2007~2012年间关于城乡冲突的报道,涉及了城乡冲突的根源、城乡冲突的新矛盾、解决城乡冲突的途径等主题,整体上看较客观冷静,但也存在一些问题,如报道议题的设置不够全面,较多报道的是城乡制度冲突、利益冲突,对城乡文化冲突涉及较少;城乡冲突中的弱势群体——农民及农民工新闻话语权较弱;对部分问题的认识缺少冷静专业的分析,报道不够平衡。《南方周末》在城乡冲突问题的报道上应注意全面设置议题,立体报道城乡冲突,同时,注意广开言路,吸纳各方意见建议,为城乡和谐发展寻求有效途径。
