汽车材料委员会成立暨第三届材料学术交流会于1984年6月3日—8日在宁召开(南京汽车厂负责组织)。来自全国主要汽车生产厂、研究所、汽车发动机厂、汽车齿轮厂、院校、钢厂等41个单位的81名代表参加了会议。会上,进行了广泛地学术与情况交流,是一次规模最大、内容最广、成果最多的交流会。会上正式成立了汽车工程学会材料委员会,设常务委员会,下设四个专业学组,即金属材料学组、非金属材料学组,油料学组和汽车材料强度筹备组(要求汽车材料强度学组于1985年正式成立)。代表们认为,今后汽车材料工作的方向是:积极开发成本低、耐腐蚀的冷热轧双相钢的研制;进一步推广应用球墨铸铁,积极开发研究应用蠕墨铸铁,坚持结构钢中硼钢的扩大应用,非调质钢的应用,也应
The establishment of the Automobile Materials Committee and the 3rd Material Academic Exchange Meeting was held in Nanjing from June 3rd to 8th, 1984 (Nanjing Automobile Factory was responsible for the organization).
