对“五四新文化”运动如何评说,80年代后期以来,就其正偏是非,成败得失,虽不断有学者对之进行分析,比较商讨。但从20世纪“世界文化”潮流的背景上看,“五四新文化”运动发生是必然的,它与传统“断裂”的深层问题,是一种“革命”,是众望所归的文化转型,是对传统的超越,是重建新的文化价值的前提。然而“断裂”又不是“断裂”,而是通过“断裂”达到新的意义的“弥合”,由于“分离”而“回归”,是中国文学在20世纪经历的一段特殊旅程。
