In recent years, with the increasing clinical application of monoclonal antibodies (McAbs), the safety of the ingredients of McAb and the safety of these ingredients has become an important issue. Previously, the authors reported that type A and type C virus particles were found in hybridoma cells and that these particles had the morphological characteristics of murine retrovirus. This article details the authors’ results of electron microscopy studies on murine-mouse hybridomas and discusses the treatment of McAb.
