The era of knowledge-based economy puts forward higher requirements on the training mode of English in higher vocational education in China. The establishment of Poyang Lake Eco-economic Zone requires a large amount of English talents, but the traditional foreign language talents can not meet the needs of economic development. This paper takes the development demand of Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone as an example to discuss the cultivation mode of English trainees in higher vocational education.
